I got my Vitamin D testing results back and was pleasantly surprised. My SPERTI Vitamin D3 lamp probably doesn’t totally explain the value. I learned recently that a supplement I was taking via FDN, which was called BioMatrix SupportMinerals, also contains about 16,500 IU of Vitamin D3 in it. Blood levels of 56 ng/ml is well within the ideal 40-60 ng/ml range I’d want to see. So I know I’m getting optimal immune system support, mood impacts, and Calcium into bone w/ the help of a K2 supplement. Toxicity levels don’t occur until 150 ng/ml so I’m in a safe position to go a little higher and dial it in.
If I look at a guideline put together in a research paper, which included Michael Hollick, MD, I can see that the Committee recommendations suggest a minimum of 1,500-2,000 IU of D3 and an Upper Limit (UL) of 10,000 IU. I’ve highlighted the block of values for men my age, but as you can see, the guideline is the same for women and men of all ages…
